Web Design Process

Real Options is a company you can trust to provide you with a quality website, quickly and at a cost you can afford.

Our process is outlined as follows and, please note, steps 1 and 2 are completely FREE and no obligation to you.

Step 1: Initial Contact

This is where we get a general feel with regard to your requirements. We can answer any questions you may have, make suggestions and give you an approximate cost for the project.

Step 2: Proposal

Normally, within a week, we will provide you with a written proposal which will contain 1 or 2 designs based around the suggested theme. We will endeavour to use your own logo, company name, colour schemes etc. or we can design them for you from scratch (Generic photos, graphics and text are sometimes used to illustrate where necessary).

Step 3: Acceptance or Not

At this stage you can either decide to go ahead with the project or not.

If you decide to go ahead you select either one of the proposed designs, a consolidation of both or maybe a new design of your own. At this stage we will invoice you for 25% of the proposed project price as a Project Initiation Fee

You are deciding:

• General look and feel
• Colour scheme
• Fonts used
• Company name, logo and tag line
• Look and functionality of the navigation*

*At this stage the navigation text/buttons are visible but do not link to any other pages. This is because you need to decide what the other pages should contain.

Please remember that throughout the entire process you will be able to view your site on our online development server giving you control of the development as it happens.

Step 4: Continued Development

No one knows your business better than you and for this and legal reasons, the content of the site (text and photographs) is the responsibility of the client. It doesn’t matter at this stage about the grammar, spelling and layout because we can assist with this. While you’re doing that we will be working on the layout and technical functionality of the site, making sure that it is user friendly and all the links are operational.

Step 5: Client Acceptance

When the contact has been added the client, subject to any minor alterations, accepts the site.

Step 6: Site Upload and Promotion

Once the final payment has been made, the site will be uploaded to the hosting server, fully tested and operational. Real Options will also register your site with the major search engines such as ’Google‘ ’MSN‘ and ’Yahoo‘.

Step 7: After Sales Service

Minor adjustments to the site will be completed free of charge for the first year following the site upload. After this time a small administration fee will be charged.
